ZTE introduced the U990 – world’s first HSDPA TD-SCDMA smartphone

China’s ZTE has revealed first HSDPA TD-SCDMA high-end mobile phone following the U980 and U981 models. The U990 is equipped with dual TD-SCDMA/EDGE support which allows speeds up to 2.8 Mbps. Company has integrated Windows Mobile 6 version as well as GPS/AGPS navigation.

The user interface is controlled by a touch-screen technology. The handset is also able to work in 3G networks. ZTE said that U990 should be available soon in the market but has not confirmed the price yet.
