Samsung Omnia 2 And LG Chocolate Touch Scheduled For August 23 At Best Buy

According to some leaked reports, the Samsung Omnia 2 and the LG Chocolate Touch BL40 are supposedly gearing for release on August 23rd. A snapshot of a leaked document from Best Buy seems to indicate this news. According to these reports, the BL40 and the Omnia 2 will be released side-by-side. A veritable clash of the titans, we say!

There are supposedly some other devices on release too, including the Samsung Rogue, Solstice and a red Xenon. There is also the mention of a Samsung Tour – we don’t quite understand that, since it’s already released on Sprint and Verizon. Samsung’s “green phone”, the Reclaim, is also set for release on August 16. Hmm, looks like a good, interesting list out here. We’re just hoping all this info is true….

LG Neon Is Now Available With AT&T

If you’re looking for 3G LG phone, you need to drop a few more bucks on the slightly pricier Xenon, but LG’s Neon carries over most of the Xenon’s other features for much less dough. And this way, you can even keep your loyalties intact. AT&T is now offering the LG Neon.

The LG Neon is a QWERTY side slider that features a 2 megapixel camera, touchscreen, Bluetooth 2.0 and support for up to 4GB of microSD storage. This is a nice, convenient and efficient little device for the $29.99 you will spend on contract after $50 mail-in rebate.

AT&T to unveil LG Xenon near Christmas

LG’s upcoming Xenon handset has surfaced on the internet with rumored dates and images. It is being reported as laying in AT&T labs for testing purposes and it will be out at Christmas. The phone Xenon seems like to be a slider device much like LG’s previous handsets.

LG Xenon will have full QWERTY keyboard, UMTS/HSDPA, a 3 megapixel camera which would be capable of VGA video recording, A-GPS, Wi-Fi, an accelerometer, a proximity sensor and a full 3G support. AT&T said to be testing the LG Xenon’s quad-band (850/900/1800/1900Mhz) GSM/EDGE and dual-band (850/1900Mhz) UMTS/HSDPA 3G radios, and could go live with the LG Xenon before the holiday shopping season.

Prices and OS still remains unclear but it seems like that AT&T may not be offered LG Xenon for free with new contract.
