Review: Sony Ericsson W715 Walkman phone
The Sony Ericsson W715 is the latest Walkman-branded handset, featuring the latest version of the Walkman music player application, WiFi, GPS, and a high-quality metallic finish. Measuring 95mm x 47.5mm x 14.3 mm, it easily slides into a pocket or handbag. Generally, the W715 seems very solidly built and feels pleasant to hold as well.
The front of the Sony Ericsson W715 comprises glass, brushed metal, and chromed accents. The TFT display is clear and good enough to see even in bright sunlight. The keypad is flat and the keys are slightly convex and are separate from one another. But the keys offer amazing feedback and travel. On the rear of the device is a gold-colored loudspeaker grille, the camera lens and LED light.
The Sony Ericsson W715’s call audio quality is good, picking up good reception. Its 1000mAh battery, lasts two to three days from a single charge. The camera was a disappointment, though. Close-ups are blurry, due to the fixed-focus lens, and there’s only a single LED light to assist in the dark. The Sony Ericsson W715 features ‘Walkman Player 3.0′ with motion-sensitive controls. Simply press the Walkman button on the top of the phone to activate the Walkman Player application. The User Interface is as good as expected, so no complaints on that front!
All-in-all, we give a thumbs-up to the new Sony Ericsson W715 Walkman Phone. Check out the pics below.
