Designer wear is known to get a ‘wee bit crazy’ sometimes. Ditto to designer luxury mobile phones – some of us simply cannot come to appreciate those pieces of art. This is very much the case with the latest masterpiece from VERTU – the VERTU Boucheron 150. Created especially to mark the 150th anniversary of Boucheron, the famous French jewelry house, the handset is, of course, typically VERTU. The problem with this one, though, is its design.
The VERTU Boucheron 150 is one hell of a luxury mobile phone. Supposedly fashioned from one single giant piece of pure gold, this handcrafted product is said to have taken about 2000 hours to create. Needless to say, it must be available in limited edition, just like other VERTU phones.
The only thing known about the VERTU Boucheron 150 is that it is a 3G Phone and rumored to be priced at $30,000 upwards. The luxury product comes in an exclusive wooden case, which looks more like a pirate’s treasure box. Now comes the major question – is this mobile phone graceful or gross? Check out the pictures we have placed here for you and decide for yourselves.

Just a few days back, we had mentioned about the new VERTU line of luxury phones hitting the market soon. Now, VERTU, known for its quality handcrafted luxury phones, has finally signed a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) deal with NTT DOCOMO in order to provide its customers with great communication services. Commencing in the second half of 2009, VERTU, in partnership with DOCOMO, will also release a premium membership card called the VERTU Club. The company will announce details of the VERTU Club shortly.
VERTU really seems to be hell-bent on making a grand foray into the market, as the company also plans to open its Ginza Flagship Store, its very first store in Japan, on 19th February 2009. Pre-orders of handsets will be taken in the store once the VERTU Club is ready. For those of you mobile freaks who just cannot wait for the VERTU Club, you can easily purchase any of the unlocked-SIM 3G phone VERTU models, Ascent Ti, Ascent Ti Ferrari or Signature (click here to go through our earlier post regarding these luxury phone models).
All of us out here are waiting with bated breath to take a look at the Ginza VERTU Store. We are sure it is gonna be a totally mind-blowing experience.
