PCD (formerly UTStarcom) now added a new phone to its line, at the CTIA Wireless 2009. This one actually comes with a “twist”. The unique cell phone, the TXT8030, is a bar-style phone that is unique in that it twists in the middle.
On one side of the bottom is an angled, full QWERTY keyboard for messaging, and on the other side there are the speakers and music control buttons. The D-pad remains on the same side as the display. This “twister” cell phone has a 2.2-inch screen, 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.0, and support for 16GB microSD cards. The PCD TXT8030 will be available in Q3 2009.
Here is one other cell phone introduction finding its way into the FCC files. It is none other than the UT2010 from UTStarcom. This young, cute-looking, mobile phone offers the user some nice features as well. Supporting an additional T-Flash card slot, the UT2010 also enables you to conduct a call conference and make emergency calls when in need of help.
This multimedia camera mobile phone also supports Audio recording and playback, Melody Composer, SMS and MMS, Roaming, FM Radio and a variety of games. From what we can see right now, we think the UT2010 might be worth a try when it enters the markets.
