Sprint announced the availability of the HTC Touch Pro together with Touch Diamond a month ago but today we finally know the official launch date. The Touch Pro beginning its sale tomorrow (October 26) combines a professional business smartphone with a sliding full QWERTY keyboard.
Beside a 2.8″ VGA touch sensitive display, the HTC Touch Pro comes equipped with a 3.2 megapixel camera with camcorder function, microSD support, Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional OS, 512 MB flash and 288 MB RAM.
Measuring 4.17 x 2.05 x 0.70 inches and weighing 5.3 ounces, the Touch Pro supports CDMA 2000 1X/EVDO Rev.A/1xRTT and IS-95A/B voice or data, and dual-band 800/1900 MHz. The handset also features Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, Wi-Fi and GPS/aGPS function.
The Touch Pro will be sold for $299.99 with a 2-year contract and $100 rebate and a $25-or-higher data add-on or Everything plan with data.
Those people who were waiting for these handsets don’t must anymore. Touch Diamond and Touch Pro by HTC will be available this month and in October. Both are running Windows Mobile 6.1 and work in the largest mobile broadband network in the US. We have already introduced these smartphones more times but we can remember their basic specifications: both include TouchFLO 3D user interface, weather, email, photos, contacts, and music features.

Sprint is bringing two new HTC phones for its long awaited customers. It seems like its matter of few days that HTC Touch Diamond and HTC Touch Pro will be added to Sprint’s CDMA network. Sprint users in US will be able to get the HTC Touch Diamond from mid September. Sprint and partner Bluefish have started making a list of all email addresses which request for notification when the Touch Diamond is available for purchase.
It seems that Sprint plans of releasing HTC Touch Diamond and HTC Touch Pro roadmap has been leaked. The leaked docs confirm that the HTC Touch diamond will hit Sprint in mid-September with the HTC Touch Pro confirmed for October 19th.
Sprint will offer quite competitive prices for sprint customers. The HTC Touch Diamond will have a $549.99 price without any contracts, or $249.99 for two-year contract. The HTC Touch Pro will be sold in a $579.99 price-tag without contract, or $329 for two-year contract to Sprint’s network.
