HTC has now announced 3 new hot fixes for the HTC Touch Pro, Touch Diamond and Touch Diamond2. These can be downloaded from the HTC support site.

The Touch Diamond2 hot fix is especially released for Hong Kong PCCW network users. This hot fix is for customers who cannot dial out but can receive calls through the PCCW network when roaming in HK. The hot fixes for Touch Diamond and Touch Pro will enhance the GPS capability for better location locking.

We all are well aware that Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile are all getting versions of the Touch Pro2 smartphone, but where did AT&T go right in the midst of all this action? Well, folks, it so happens that AT&T has this device codenamed “Fortress” lined up for release, which will also come with a Touch Diamond2 version known as “Warhawk” to market this summer.

The Fortress is actually listed for release today, but we think it is far too soon. This smartphone is expected to launch with WinMo 6.1 AKU6 (presumably upgradeable to 6.5 down the road) with full HSPA on three bands, AGPS, a 3.2 megapixel AF cam, 3.6-inch WVGA display, and Video Share support.

Meanwhile, the Warhawk, that is, AT&T’s Touch Diamond2, gets a 3.2-inch WVGA display, dual-band HSDPA, AGPS, and Video Share, but unlike the Fortress, it’s scheduled to launch with Windows Mobile 6.5 installed out of the gate. It’s targeted for August 24, so we will see how closely they can hit the release date target.

The HTC Corporation, at the 2009 MWC at Barcelona, announced two new flagship devices, the HTC Touch Diamond2 and the HTC Touch Pro2, both of which integrate innovative technology with a highly intuitive user interface. The devices combine efficient functioning, personalized communication experience and mobile Internet experience with great ease, to form an impressive handheld device.

Both the HTC Touch Diamond2 and HTC Touch Pro2 use HTC’s unique TouchFLO 3D technology, integrated into a customized version of Windows Mobile 6.1. This ‘user-centric’ mobile phone aim at giving the customer maximum ease of use and customization. These new HTC devices also uses HTC’s Push Internet technology, which gives good Internet downloading speeds and easy access to Websites. The HTC Touch Pro2 also uses HTC Straight Talk, which uses voice technology to the maximum and enables any location to be transformed into a virtual conference room.

The HTC Touch Diamond2 will be open to Europe and Asia in Q2 2009 and the HTC Touch Pro2 will be available internationally from early summer.
