The latest news from Samsung is that its massively impressive i7500 Galaxy is coming to O2 UK soon. The smartphone has already been lapped up by O2 in Germany and now it’s also entered Britain. The carrier has now officially confirmed that it will be promoting the Android-powered device.
The Samsung i7500 Galaxy will enter the UK market in August. O2 Germany is offering the smae at about $98 on contract, so though there is no pricing availability on the English one yet, we assume it would be around that same price range. You never know – they might even offer it free with some plan – imagination costs nothing after all, see?

To refresh your memory, the Samsung i7500 is a quad-band GSM, tri-band 7.2Mbps HSDPA handset that boasts a 3.2-inch, 320 x 480 pixel AMOLED touchscreen, WiFi, GPS, a 5 megapixel camera, 8GB of storage with MicroSD expansion for up to 32GB more, and a standard 3.5mm jack. Samsung yesterday announced the i7500, its very first phone running Google’s Android platform. The i7500 will feature a 3.2-inch AMOLED touch screen, 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash, 8GB of built-in memory and a microSD clot for additional storage (up to 32GB).
The Samsung i7500 is quad-band GSM/EDGE, tri-band 900/1700/2100MHz HSDPA 7.2Mbps / HSUPA 5.76Mbps 3G and Wi-Fi.
This smartphone will additionally support T-Mobile USA’s 3G network. It will be available via European network operators starting in June. Pricing has not been disclosed as yet.
