The Nokia N97 is one of the S60 5th Edition mobile computers from Nokia. Including an impressive 3,5“ TFT color display with resistive touch screen and tactile feedback. This gives the user a fantastic experience for internet and entertainment. This smartphone includes a QWERTY keyboard with touch UI, Home screen functionality and connects to mobile broadband using WLAN or HSDPA.

Nokia today introduced three mobile development tools for desktop designers and developers of Internet content, providing quick and easy conversion of standard web code and scripting languages into new mobile applications and services. The Nokia Web Runtime Extension for Adobe Dreamweaver, Nokia WRT plug-in for Microsoft Visual Studio and the newly updated WRT plug-in 2.0 for Aptana Studio now enable web developers and designers using HTML, CSS, JavaScript(TM), Ajax code and other standards-based technologies immediately extend their existing web content to the mobile channel through the fast and efficient creation of mobile widget applications.
Nokia’s WRT is built on the same open-source, industry standard WebKit project environment used by Web Browser for S60, Nokia’s full-HTML browser for the latest devices running on Nokia’s S60 platform. Within the next month, Nokia will localize the WRT Extension for Adobe Dreamweaver and the Nokia WRT plug-in for Microsoft Visual Studio, offering multi-language support for developer tools for the first time.
Currently supporting more than two dozen of the most popular Nokia devices available in markets worldwide, all three of the new Nokia WRT plug-ins can be used to create widgets projects for all S60 3rd Edition, Feature Pack 2 devices and onward, as well as all S60 5th Edition devices. WRT plug-ins also support select S60 3rd Edition, Feature Pack 1 devices, with a firmware upgrade via a Nokia software updater necessary to install WRT on some devices.
The FCC has recently given the nod to two smartphones for the United States recently. They include a new Sidekick model for T-Mobile and the Samsung i8910 smartphone. The very novel Sidekick features support for T-Mobile’s 3G network, for high-speed data transfers, and is said to be manufactured by Sharp.
The FCC has also officially acknowledged the dual-band GSM (850/1900MHz) and single 3G frequency (1900MHz) smartphone, the Samsung i8910, which was announced at the MWC 2009 held in February. The phone may actually feature quad-band GSM and tri-band 3G. This is probably the first smartphone to be powered by Nokia’s S60 5th Edition user interface and features an 8MP camera that can also record HD video.
