We already reported about the Nokia and OZ Communications deal on September 30 but it’s complete just now. With this acquisition, Nokia now will provide messaging experience by providing an affordable mass market email and instant message platform. This platform will work on Nokia Series 40 devices as well as on the existing Nokia S60 devices line-up.

Nokia has completed acquisition of OZ Communications
Nokia plans to aquire the OZ Communications, company focused on instant messaging and email services. With this Nokia will provide access to services like AOL, Gmail, ICQ, Windows Live Hotmail, Windows Live Messenger and Yahoo!. The OZ’s services will be also available on existing Nokia’s Series 40 and S60 devices. The acquisition should be completed in the Q4 2008 and after this OZ will become a part of Nokia when the services may be launched.
