Verizon Wireless Includes Samsung Omnia In Its Line Of Touch Screen Mobiles

Looking for a brand new mobile phone to indulge in? This product has been included in Verizon’s line of touch screen mobile phones. Korean Samsung T*Omnia now supports Mini Cyworld, a blog service

Currently the best equipped Omnia phone by Samsung, the T*Omnia for Korea, now supports Mini Cyworld, a blog service where users may search friends, browse pictures and get full internet experience to their hands just by a mobile device.

SK Telecom customers can try the new service first on their T*Omnia’s 3 inch WVGA (800×480 pixel) touch displays however the carrier is planning to launch another phone with a wide screen soon.

The T*Omnia also features 5 megapixel CMOS camera, aGPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR, USB 2.0 and satellite DMB TV tuner.

Omnia fight begun – Korea to bring its T*OMNIA SCH-M490/M495 phone

It seems like countries have started to fight together, which of them to bring a better version of the Omnia phone. A few days ago it was Japan that revealed its Omnia with improved screen and TV tuner, but today, Korea wins. Their T*OMNIA will feature 3.3″ WVGA touch-screen same like Japanese model with 480 x 800, and satellite DMB TV receiver.

But why is the Korean version better? It will run on Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional OS, and even it will have aGPS and Wi-Fi. And that Japanese version is missing. Other features are still the same like HSDPA 7.2Mbps and quad-band (850/900/1800/1900MHz), 5 megapixel CMOS camera with autofocus and flash, multimedia files support, Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR, USB 2.0, 4GB/16GB of user memory (M490/M495 model) and microSD card support.

In summary, the T*OMNIA is also little bit larger than its competitors. It measures 115.2 x 58.1 x 13.65 mm and weighs 131 g. With 1440 mAh battery the T*OMNIA provides 550/510 hours of standby time in GSM/WCDMA, and 570/270 minutes of talk time in GSM/WCDMA system. The handset will be available in the half of this month through SK Telecom but the price has not been unveiled yet.

Here we come with some live photos of the new Omnia 930SC phone for our Japanese friends. There has been changed an information of its features and unfortunately, we have to inform you that the phone will miss Windows Mobile OS, GPS and if this is not enough, there will be no Wi-Fi.

But if we compare it with the older Omnia phone, it has a larger WVGA screen (3.3″) and a 1-Seg TV tuner. The 930SC will be sold through SoftBank mobile in 3 various colors: black, red and white.
