You guys may recall that the Palm Pre was supposed to debut in the UK last week. But there is no sign of it arriving there yet. Residents of the UK are still waiting impatiently for news of the iPhone contender hitting the markets out there.
There is rumor, though, that the Palm Pre smartphone will make its grand entry in that region sometime next week. But we can say nothing for sure yet. One thing cloying our minds is, “who is going to be the official carrier for the device?” We are betting on O2 at the moment.
Of course, there are those other lovelies just waiting to be picked up too, like the HTC Hero, iPhone 3G S, Samsung Jet and so on. If you guys were to choose, what would you go for?

Ah, the moment has finally arrived – it’s the 19th of June and the new iPhone 3G S releases today. In case you didn’t already pre-order your smartphone, there are indeed ways you can get your hands on them now, in the UK, US and Canada.
The United States
In case you wisely pre-ordered your phone from AT&T, you can get it today at 7:00AM from the same retail outlet. Those of you who were not that wise will have to wait for normal business hours to start off, after which, it is first come, first serve. All Apple retail outlets will be open from 7:00AM sharp, so be sure to be there on time. You can also try WalMart and Best Buy, since they too would have a stock of the product. Those who have pre-ordered with AT&T or Apple should go according to the shipping delivery date mentioned on the receipt.
The United Kingdom
There is great news for UK residents too. O2 UK can also get to lay their hands on the iPhone 3G S, starting 8:02AM today. Additionally, you can also get the smartphone from Apple and Carphone Warehouse stores near you. Pricing is based on the plans you select, plus you also have Pay & Go plans to choose from.
Canada
Canadian residents stand a good chance of procuring your iPhone 3G S from any Apple retail store, from around 8:00AM. Rogers and Fido will be there to help you too.

We had spotted quite a weird looking red and gold T700 mobile phone during the very start of this year. Well, O2 UK is now actually selling the piece for sale. Anyway, it is offering it for free right now, on monthly contract.
The specs that the Sony Ericsson T700 offers are quite impressive though. It comes with up to 2” display, 3G data support, 8GB of expandable memory, 3.2MP camera, media player, built-in speakers, video capture and FM Radio. You never know, maybe the color scheme will grow on you eventually, after all!
