AT&T Has Some Interesting Releases Up Its Sleeve

We have managed to get our hands on a supposed “pre-launch” list of AT&T phones. The list is very riveting indeed. It includes some very interesting phones such as the BlackBerry 9700 smartphone, Garmin-Asus nuvifone G60, the HTC Tilt 2 and something referred to as the “HTC Pure” (we still need to find out what that is, though we think it might be something like the Snap).

There are no Android or webOS smartphones on the list, though. Must say we’re disappointed with that. Anyway, the nuvifone seems to be entering the market soon. We’re hoping it makes up for everything else. What say, guys?

Garmin-Asus Keep Us All Waiting Impatiently For The Nuvifone G60

Sigh, life’s just so difficult sometimes – Garmin-Asus have done it yet again. The companies have now confirmed that they have once again delayed their G60 Nuvifone.

The G60 Nuvifone was first announced in January 2008. The device had then been delayed several times after that, most recently until the first half of 2009. Now, the new target is some time before the end of 2009. Let us hope we get to see this device before 2010 starts off!

Garmin-ASUS Reveal Details On Their Nuvifone G60

The 2009 MWC is indeed seeing a lot of “mobile activity”, much as expected, of course. The latest news is that Garmin-ASUS have announced specifications of their much-sought-after nuvifone G60. The company’s newest is the nuvifone line, that also includes the nuvifone M20.

The Garmin-ASUS nuvifone G60 features path-breaking location-based service (LBS) technology and offers a superior and innovative product for those looking for an all-in-one, LBS-centric phone with mobile Web browser and personal navigator as well. The nuvifone G60 has been designed especially for those who appreciate easy-to-operate devices which also give accurate locations.

The quad-band 3.5G GSM nuvifone G60 comes with HSDPA networks and supports Wi-Fi too. Its massive 3.55” display prominently features three icons, “Call”, “Search” and “View Map”. The touchscreen display is easy to operate with and works with a mere feather touch. Further, the nuvifone G60 allows users to access applications like SMS, Email, POP3, IMAP4, fully customizable QWERTY or A-to-Z keyboard, photo sharing, social networking and online sharing of location info with other contacts.

Other expanded applications include real-time traffic updates, White Pages, weather, flight schedules, local events and movie times. Information on the availability and pricing of this phone is expected soon.
