Nokia’s N79 Eco series can now be shipped without a charger. Yes you read correct, without a charger. This device can be pre-ordered through Nokia’s UK online shop. The concept behind this mildly un-anticipated variant is that no charger equals fewer packages which in return give off less waste. Customers are expected to have stored their previous Nokia chargers, but wait, what happens if you’ve never owned a Nokia, or the charger for your Nokia is somewhat completely outdated as it can be categorized as ancient, what happens then?
I guess they’d expect you to enter their online store and purchase a charger, wasting more packages, and creating more waste. This concept could work out to a certain extent, however not every retains their previous phone chargers and better yet their previous phones. However, kudos to Nokia and the organizations they’ve affiliated themselves too, to bring us this unprecedented offer.
