There is something really great about Nokia N96 as it is being launched everywhere with preloaded local features. Before we had a news that Nokia N96 is being launched in India with preloaded bollywood features, now it’s UK which will get hands on with local preloaded features.
Nokia N96 will be launched in UK on October 1st and will allow users to access BBC TV or radio programmes from the previous seven days for free over 3G or WIFI connections. However, the iPlayer app won’t come bundled on every N96 shipped in the UK, users can download the iPlayer from the BBC website.

After 7 months, when the N96 was introduced, Nokia unveils its availability and shipping. Nokia’s N96 is a flagship multimedia phone sporting a 5 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, a 2.8″ display, N-Gage feature, 16GB of internal memory that can be increased to 24GB with an optional microSD card.
The handset also support DVB-H technology which brings mobile TV, 3D speakers for a great sound quality and USB 2.0 for a high speed transfer. The Nokia N96 has also a RDS radio which allows you to listen your favorite music. Nokia sells this device for EUR 550 (USD 790) before taxes and subsidies.

Indian users can buy this mobile around 36,000 INR (828 USD or 526 Euros). The device however will follow the normal features of the new NSeries, which include: a 2.8″ TFT display with 16 million colors and QVGA resolution, 5 megapixel auto focus camera with Carl Zeiss optics, flash and video recording, GSM and HSDPA.
