We had told you about the Israeli handset, Modu, a few days back. Now, it is shortly getting released. For those not in the know, Modu has been planning a wee little handset which could also work with a range of peripherals, as per the user’s requirements. The cute Modu teaser below will give you the exact ideal about the device.

The best thing about the core Modu product is that it is extremely user-friendly, having no extra frills or complicating the entire system. Of course, there is the lack of a number pad or touch input. The tiny size also makes this handset a bit difficult to use, especially for those who are looking at bigger devices. The graphics of the present product are also pretty primeval, so we’re hoping they improve on that too.

Modu will retail at Cellcom for $130, which is also refunded to you if you answer a questionnaire. Not bad, huh? So who’s interested in giving it a try? Watch the teaser below and tell us what you think.

The current and hottest news from all the way across the Atlantic is that Modu might be launching its long-awaited Modu mobile phones as early as this week. Though we had seen these phones at the Mobile World Congress in the start of this year, we had had no info after that and have been waiting ever since.

Now, word from Israel is that the company will be launching its phones on this very Wednesday, that is, July 22. Each phone will be priced at 500 Israeli Shekels, approx. around $130. Well, just a couple of days more to go and we’ll know all about it, right? So stay tuned, folks.
