Opera Software and BrightCloud have joined hands in a useful new venture, to provide security, web filtering and parental control to operators who distribute the Opera Mini browser. Thanks to this new technology, operators will be capable of implementing mechanisms for parental control, block or access websites and adult content on mobile Web browsers, block services that are of questionable repute and generally increase the amount of security offered on these mobile phones.

BrightCloud provides national access to the largest and the most accurate set of categorized Web sites, covering practically ten times more information offered by other web-filtering providers. This far reduces the number of uncategorized web sites, also reducing risks of Internet browsing security. The marriage of BrightCloud and Opera is hence expected to be the ideal solution for operators.
