Rumor is that the LG Viewty II, also called the Viewty GC900, had been spotted during a private trade show in the Netherlands and is going to be released very soon. The original LG Viewty with a 5MP camera was released in 2008 and now there is speculation that there will be an upgrade to the LG Viewty II, in the very near future.
The LG Viewty GC900 comes with an 8MP autofocus camera and supports up to ISO 160, assisted by a Xenon flash module and image stabilizer. It also has a 3” WVGA full touchscreen monitor, with LG’s latest 3D user interface. Additional specs include Wi-Fi, GPS, HSDPA 7.2, HSUPA 1.4MB and 32GB internal memory. Three standard buttons are placed directly below the screen. The front side of the phone is black and the rear side, silver. Nothing has been said about the price of the LG Viewty II.
Take a look at the specs and picture of the phone.

Given the tremendous market position of LG Electronics, it is no wonder that each of their new introductions sell like hot cakes. LG is a company known for its innovation and ability to develop all kinds of electronic products. Its mobile phones are especially immensely popular with high-tech-wannabes. But even we are amazed at LG’s market presence when we learnt that the company has sold 5 million Viewty pieces globally, in just the last 14 months.
LG’s Viewty is a mobile phone that has it all – looks, style, touchscreen, 3.5G and 5MP autofocus camera. Who in their right senses would not like such a “babe” of a phone? Viewty has “touched” several countries across Europe and Asia. Too bad North America has so far been ignored – the company could have made an equal amount of sales here alone.
We think it is the LG Team’s originality that gets them close to the top spot. They untiringly keep introducing various colors, designs and features into their products, which makes the general junta simply drool for more!
