NTT DOCOMO announced availability of a new addition to its range of cellphones, the LG L706ie, which will be launched on Friday, August 1st. The new L706ie sports a 2.4″ 262k QVGA / TFT LCD internal screen with 320 × 240 pixels and a 1.3″ 65k TFT LCD external screen with 128 × 160 pixels resolution. On the top of the phone you can find a 1.3 megapixel CMOS camera with auto focus. The L706ie works with W-CDMA and GSM system, and provides approximately 300 hours of standby time and approximately 150 minutes of talk time. The phone also enables TV for approximately 100 minutes. Customers can make 3 color choices: Gold, Pink or White. No words about pricing were announced, but it will be available simultaneously at all DOCOMO dealers.

LG today released its new clamshell phone, the LG-KF300/L706ie Wine Phone simultaneously in Europe and Japan. Large 2.4″ and 1.8″ LCD displays make this phone easy-to-use for older users. The KF300/L706ie is designed to fit the market of Europe as well as Japan. The phone is equipped with a 2 megapixel camera and support of 3.6Mbps data transfer speeds. Other features of the KF300/L706ie are sms sending and receiving, schedule, voice recording, alarm and condition setting. The Wine Phone is available in more color variants: for Japan in white, gold, and pink, and for Europe in pink, dark purple and black. Pricing has not been announced yet.
