The iPhone Dev Team have been claiming for a while now that they have come out with an iPhone OS 3.0-compatible version of yellowsn0w. They have now come out with a video presentation of this thing they call ultrasn0w, which is supposed to permit you unlock any iPhone running any version of the firmware 3.0.

They have kept the jailbreak trick a heavily guarded secret, fearing that Apple may find a fix at the last moment. But in case all goes well, the latest hacking software should be released on Friday, bang in line with the release of the new iPhone 3G S. Apple has now made a new beta version of its iPhone OS 3.0 open to iPhone developers. In conjunction with beta 4, Apple has also made a pre-release version of iTunes 8.2 open to developers as well, which is required to activate beta 4.
We do not yet have complete information about system updates just as yet, but we will let you know when we get more info.

As promised, Apple has now made a third beta version of iPhone OS 3.0 available to registered iPhone developers. There are many improvements over the previous version. Changes include performance improvements, user interface updates and alterations to Spotlight search as well.
