The VERTU Boucheron 150 – Graceful Or Gross?

Designer wear is known to get a ‘wee bit crazy’ sometimes. Ditto to designer luxury mobile phones – some of us simply cannot come to appreciate those pieces of art. This is very much the case with the latest masterpiece from VERTU – the VERTU Boucheron 150. Created especially to mark the 150th anniversary of Boucheron, the famous French jewelry house, the handset is, of course, typically VERTU. The problem with this one, though, is its design.

The VERTU Boucheron 150 is one hell of a luxury mobile phone. Supposedly fashioned from one single giant piece of pure gold, this handcrafted product is said to have taken about 2000 hours to create. Needless to say, it must be available in limited edition, just like other VERTU phones.

The only thing known about the VERTU Boucheron 150 is that it is a 3G Phone and rumored to be priced at $30,000 upwards. The luxury product comes in an exclusive wooden case, which looks more like a pirate’s treasure box. Now comes the major question – is this mobile phone graceful or gross?
