Now the Thunder has just as suddenly entered the scene with Verizon this week. We are not so sure about this smartphone though – it might just turn out to be the Storm 2 after all. You never know – considering the course of events, the next ones could well be named Tornado, Tsunami and so on!

PreBerry Is The New Palm Pre Theme For BlackBerry Storm

A new WebOS theme is now available to give your BlackBerry Storm a bit of Palm Pre-mojo look. The new WebOS theme, very rightly named PreBerry, imitates both the look and feel of the Palm Pre’s all-new mobile operating system. Following on the recently-canned TealOS theme for Palm OS smartphones, PreBerry offers BlackBerry Storm owners a chance to get in on the Pre-action all pre-release style.

PreBerry enables all sorts of theme customization and application integration, even emulating the WebOS’s “wave launcher” dock. The theme comes complete with a slew of high-quality WebOS-like application icons, so you can be sure that your Pre-experience is as accurate as possible. Of course, the capacitance touchscreen on the Palm Pre will make for a decidedly different touchscreen experience, so be warned, do not be under the illusion that PreBerry is going to be a good alternative to the actual WebOS.

PreBerry is on sale for $5.99. Click here to download PreBerry .

RIM CEO Confirms Storm Sequel In The Making

RIM co-CEO Jim Ballsillie has now confirmed that the company is currently engineering a kind of sequel to the touch-based BlackBerry Storm smartphone. This is done considering the fact that there is now a large consumer segment for such a device.

Balsillie further said that “[the Storm] was a huge success in terms of sales and adoption” and that “we have next-generation devices with [touch] and the whole roadmap.” The company, though, did not provide any specific additional details, nor did they mention when this product would hit the retail market.
