T-Mobile Shows Off Its New myTouch 3G Android Smartphone
T-Mobile today announced its next Android smartphone from HTC, the myTouch 3G along with Google. The myTouch smartphone is very much like the HTC Magic Android device in looks and design. The second Android device, the myTouch 3G comes with a 3.2” HVGA capacitive touch display plus accelerometer, 3.2MP camera with video and seamless integration with Google’s services like Google Maps, Gmail, Picasa and YouTube.
The myTouch 3G additionally brings quad-band GSM/EDGE as well as access to T-Mobile’s 1700MHz 3G network and Wi-Fi, plus a new software called Sherpa, which records how the customer uses the device and adjusts the device accordingly.
The myTouch 3G will be open for pre-order from July 8 this year, for $200 on contract. While T-Mobile will ship these orders in late July, this product will hit the retail market in early August.
