Sprint Announces The Launch Of The First Push-To-Talk BlackBerry Curve 8350i Smartphone
In response to Nextel Direct Connect customers’ demands, Sprint yesterday announced the launch of the BlackBerry Curve 8350i smartphone, which is the first and most advanced push-to-talk BlackBerry smartphone to be ever manufactured. The BlackBerry Curve 8350i is developed by RIM (Research In Motion) and uses iDEN technology on the Nextel National Network.
This high-end wireless device offers built-in Wi-Fi, fast Web Browsing, Email sending and receiving capabilities while also simultaneously speaking over the phone. The BlackBerry Curve 8350i also lets users to set up group conversations with as many as 20 people at a time, via the Group Connect facility. Additionally, this smartphone is GPS-enabled and International Direct Connect, which allows users instant connections between many countries of the world.
The slim BlackBerry Curve 8350i smartphone comprises a QWERTY keyboard, intuitive trackball for navigation; ‘push’ email, SMS and MMS, advanced multimedia functionalities including audio and video recording, Mobile Office, micro SD slot with expandable memory of 16GB, Bluetooth and stereo headset jack. The BlackBerry Curve 8350i smartphone is available for as little as $149.99 with a two-year contract, $80 instant savings credit and a $100 mail-in-rebate. This smartphone will be available in all the nationwide Sprint retail stores from January 11, 2009.
