New Android Application to Wipe Out T-Mobile G1’s Memory
As odd as it sounds after downloading the MemoryUp app from the Android market, several device owners realized that a lot of their contacts were gone missing, their phones crashed, adware was somehow installed, spam emails found their way into the users email boxes, and others were complaining that the contents on their memory card was wiped out.
This is disturbing because we’re about the fact that such an application as damaging as this one has wobbled its way into the Android Market, potentially influencing a percentage of its customers to turn elsewhere because of the incompetence that MemoryUp’s developers possess.
Our question today is: If this dangerous app has found its way into the Market, couldn’t there possibly be others, disguised, just waiting on a poor G1 victim to sink its harmful “teeth” into? Only time will be the judge of that.
