Microsoft Incorporates Voice Controls Into Windows Mobile 6.5

Microsoft today announced new technology that will be available to Windows Mobile 6.5 devices later this year. Using software from its TellMe subsidiary, Windows Mobile 6.5 users will be able to open a new text message, dictate the message, and send the message all via voice commands.

This also applies to calling contacts as well as using Microsoft’s Live Search to perform web searches. Microsoft claims that this service is the very first one to combine both voice commands and the ability to add content to text fields at the press of a single button. The software will be free when it becomes available later this year.
