Google to release its touchscreen keyboard Android roadmap

Have you missed on-screen keyboard for your upcoming T-Mobile G1 phone? The good news is that Google has released its roadmap which shows Q1 2009 for upcoming releases. Although Android people show these time lines associated with this roadmap as rough and subject to change.

The sketch for Android Open Source Project depicts the input method framework (IMF) which will enable support for input methods other like physical keyboards. Roadmap includes a dictionary of suggestions, and a suggestion algorithm. Input method engines (IME) will also enable independent software vendors (developers) to develop soft keyboards for the applications made for Android phones.
