Ericsson Plans To End Partnership With Sony In The Sony Ericsson Joint Venture

A lot of us have adored Sony Ericsson gadgets, especially mobile phones. There is, however, some bad news on the horizon. According to a German news source, Ericsson may well be looking to end its hitherto very fruitful partnership with Sony. The company has already approached Sony in this respect, expressing the desire to end its participation in the Sony Ericsson joint venture.

Sony has indicated its interest in acquiring Ericsson’s 50% stake in the joint venture, though it does not currently have the financial resources to do so with immediate effect. There is nothing official that has been declared about this issue yet. Both companies are still exploring their options right now.
