If some online sources are to be believed, T-Mobile is planning to reveal its second Android-powered smartphone as early as next week. The device, it is believed, will be known as myTouch 3G and will resemble the HTC Magic quite closely. Some of you may recall that the Magic had been released on Vodafone’s network earlier this year.
T-Mobile has not disclosed many more details as of now. But HTC is going to be conducting an event in London next week, wherein it is expected to release some new handsets. T-Mobile also had indicated that it would be coming out with its second Android-powered smartphone sometime during summertime. Well, this might just be it, folks!
You guys are gonna have mixed reactions on this one. The Nokia 6730 Classic candybar phone is an interesting device in that Vodafone intends to launch it globally across its entire wireless footprint, bringing turn-by-turn navigation and S60 to a wide audience spanning multiple continents and target demographics.
This device comes with a 3.2MP autofocus camera, the usual microSD expansion, and a 2.2-inch display. This handset will launch next month for a yet undisclosed price.
The HTC Magic, exclusive in the UK to Vodafone and Vodafone’s first Android-powered smartphone, will be available to buy from May 1 at www.vodafone.co.uk/magic, through Vodafone’s retail stores and from telesales.
The pricing for the HTC Magic starts from free on a two year contract at GBP35 per month including unlimited mobile internet use, 600 minutes and unlimited texts. The phone will also come with a 2GB memory card. Customers who wish to pre-order online before May 1 will also benefit from a value offer from Vodafone and receive the GBP35 price plan for GBP30.
Vodafone is also launching a national treasure hunt to win one of 20 HTC Magic phones during May. Anyone who would like the chance to win should follow Vodafone on Twitter and pick up clues as to where they will find an HTC Magic. Details of the competition are on the Vodafone Facebook page.
