O2 Germany had suddenly stopped its sales of the stylish Toshiba TG01 smartphone. The unofficial news was that there had been an unexplained virus doing its rounds, because of which this whole mess occurred.
Anyhow, things seem fine now, as the Windows Mobile/Snapdragon running smartphone is back for sale on the carrier, at least online. We still do not know if retail shops have restocked themselves yet. We’ll let you posted on how things progress on this front.

Toshiba recently revealed its plans of shutting down its production of cell phones in Japan. The company has stated that it will stop all manufacturing in its home country and outsource production to China, instead.
The company additionally said that its present workers will be transitioned to other jobs within the company. Toshiba makes other consumer electronics, such as TVs and DVD players. Toshiba cited a huge and unexpected drop in sales as the reason behind its decision.
