The latest rumor is that Sony Ericsson is going to release a sequel to its other touchscreen phones, the Satio and the Aino. The next in SE’s full touchscreen line, it is believed, is going to be the Sony Ericsson Jalou, an S60 5th Edition smartphone.
The Jalou is rumoured to come with WiFi and GPS and there are not supposed to be any physical buttons on the touchscreen. Anyway, we can’t confirm this till we get official word from SE themselves. Till then, stay tuned for more news.
Expansys has now confirmed Sony Ericsson’s move into making Android smartphones. The latest smartphone from SE is code-named Rachael and is branded the X3. The specs, as given by Expansys, include a 4” touchscreen display, 2G and 3G networks, stunning 8MP autofocus camera with LED flash, image stabilization, face detection, smile shutter and VGA video recording, email clients and accounts, WiFi, aGPS and Bluetooth.
Granted that the HTC Hero is absolutely marvellous, but the X3 comes with a 1GHz processor, so we might just be interested in ditching everything else for this one. We’ll give you more information on this one very shortly.
The Sony Ericsson Xperia X2 has been creating some interest for a long time now, what with pictures of the smartphone floating around from time to time. Now, we have got you some more pics of this wonderful device, which comes after the original Xperia. Scroll down and you will see both the models lying side-by-side.
SE Xperia X2
The new Xperia X2 does look a lot like the old model, but seems to be slimmer and have an improved keyboard as well. Of course, we will get to know the actual changes only when we can get our hands on this one (and we’re dying to!). The SE Xperia X2 is rumored to come with an OLED display. That’d be smashing if turned out to be true.
SE Xperia X2
Here is an extremely poor quality video of the supposed Xperia X2. But we think it might be fake. What do you folks feel?
AT&T had promised that it would be featuring two Sony Ericsson phones for sale on Sunday and guess what? They have fulfilled their promise alright. The most recent 8.1MP SE C905a and the W518a Walkman phones are officially on sale at AT&T.
Just as we all thought, the C905a comes only in its silver version and is priced at $179.99 after rebates and 2-year contract. The SE W518a Walkman, on the other hand, is available in more colors and for as less as $49.99 with the same terms as above. Well, guys, we don’t know about you, but we are interested!
