Canada, it’s time now to celebrate! Bell has launched the BlackBerry Tour 9630 smartphone, ahead of its arch rival Canadian CDMA carrier, Telus. Right now, the device is on sale only through the Bell website, but we expect to be up for grabs in retail stores very, very soon. The BlackBerry Tour has been ordered at all Bell outlets and will be in shortly.

Sprint Nextel has officially announced that it will be adding Wi-Fi to the BlackBerry Tour, starting next year. The carrier also said that it would include Wi-Fi in all its future smartphones. Sprint did not reveal how long it would take for its entire line-up of handhelds, but one thing is certain – Wi-Fi certainly is coming very soon.
Not only Sprint, but Verizon Wireless also revealed it has the same plans of introducing Wi-Fi to its own BlackBerry line of smartphones as well. But Verizon has not yet given a definite deadline as to when this service will be released. Right now, the BlackBerry Tour and Storm devices do not include Wi-Fi.
Though the Sprint BlackBerry Tour is the most talked-about Sprint smartphone these days, there are other RIM phones too in Sprint’s lineup, such as the 8330 and the 8350i. News is that Sprint will soon be launching an “Inferno Orange” 8330 model and a red 8350i. Now, this sounds like two absolutely shocking colors for the usually very suave and stylish BlackBerry devices.
