We have managed to get our hands on a supposed “pre-launch” list of AT&T phones. The list is very riveting indeed. It includes some very interesting phones such as the BlackBerry 9700 smartphone, Garmin-Asus nuvifone G60, the HTC Tilt 2 and something referred to as the “HTC Pure” (we still need to find out what that is, though we think it might be something like the Snap).
There are no Android or webOS smartphones on the list, though. Must say we’re disappointed with that. Anyway, the nuvifone seems to be entering the market soon. We’re hoping it makes up for everything else. What say, guys?

The BlackBerry 8520 will also be available with Orange and Carphone Warehouse as well. The latter will offer this cutie in a different shade – violet. Just for your information, the 8520, also hailed as the Gemini, is coming to T-Mobile USA on the 5th of August (most probably). Anyway, enjoy the pictures of the handheld and also click here if you wish to see the entire photogallery.

We at PhoneArea were pleasantly surprised when we learnt that Vodafone UK was launching a non-3G smartphone this year, the BlackBerry 8520. Of course, this is in rumor stage yet, but considering the image below, it looks like Vodafone UK will go the T-Mobile USA way, by promoting RIM’s latest QWERTY device, the BlackBerry 8520.
Further news is that Vodafone UK plans to sell this entry-level device at an “affordable price”. This is set to launch in August, alongside T-Mobile’s own launch. Stay tuned for more on this, folks.

The BlackBerry Thunder had made an appearance long back and then had mysteriously disappeared into thin air, leaving the Storm to take on mobile world by veritable storm.
Now the Thunder has just as suddenly entered the scene with Verizon this week. We are not so sure about this smartphone though – it might just turn out to be the Storm 2 after all. You never know – considering the course of events, the next ones could well be named Tornado, Tsunami and so on!
