According to what the Finnish Weblog, Puhelinvertailu stated, Nokia has now filed a trademark application for its soon-to-come C-series of mobile phones. There was the Nseries of entertainment phones which took the mobile world by storm when it came in. Then it was the Eseries of business phones which took center stage.
We now wonder what the “C” might stand for. We kept breaking our heads over it, but didn’t get any idea. What do you guys think? Any suggestions as to what it might be? Anyways, we’ll let you know more when we hear of this thing in the near future.

The Nokia E72, intended to be released in North America, has now passed the FCC. This device offers full HSPA and quadband EDGE if you should be moving out of the West.
While it comes as great boon that device comes unlocked, it is also a bane, because those interested in purchasing the smartphone will have to go through the usual pre-order routine and pass through the flagship store queues. But hey, we all know we’re going to be getting our hands on this device, one way or the other, right, guys?

Here’s news about one really low-end clamshell phone, the Nokia 7020. This mobile phone has got its FCC approval and is queued up for release in the last quarter of 2009. This phone has EDGE connectivity, so the FCC approval may be indicative of this thingy going to the US, though we don’t know for sure so far.
There is yet no info about the official carrier for this phone. It could even have been intended to sell cheaply at some overseas outlet or through Nokia’s flagship stores. Anyway, what we do know is that this device has a concealed display and a 2MP camera, which is really not that bad at all, right?

Of course, the Nokia N97 is truly the star of the week, the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic is not lagging too behind either. This other S60 5th Edition device has now got its own NAM firmware boost this week as well.
The version 21.2.025 for 5800 XpressMusic does not impress one as having too many changes over the last one, but this could be viewed more as a stable release of the previous version. Well, Nokia seems to be targeting North America right now, which definitely is a positive move. Keep it up, Nokia.
