LG Claims To Have Sold 5 Million LG Cookie Phone In Nine Months

LG Electronics now exults that it has sold over 5 million LG-KP500 “Cookie” phones on a global basis over the last nine months. The sweet and slim Cookie is a full touch phone that comes with 3D accelerator and 3MP camera, besides other features.

LG hopes to reach the 10 million sales mark for the Cookie by the end of 2009. LG has now added on 10 more colors too, which itself shows how much this mobile phone is in demand.

Full Review Of The LG GR500 Xenon Mobile Phone

The AT&T LG GR500 Xenon is a very compact touchscreen phone, which also comes with a well-spaced slide-out QWERTY keyboard and powerful multimedia features. Supporting AT&T’s 3G network, this phone also features a brilliant 2MP camera with LED flash. While the phone itself is very sturdy to touch, the slide function of the keyboard is smooth and feels good on the hands. Its 2.8” WQVGA display gives clarity, below which are the dedicated end/send buttons and so on.

The audio reception of the LG Xenon is great and the voice is carried clearly while outdoors. Unfortunately, this phone does not support the sync function and the contacts detail capacity is also a little of a disappointment. The phone’s multimedia experience is as good as expected. While the music download process is fast and very convenient, the built-in speakerphone is much louder than expected. The device also supports fast Web browsing MMS, so that’s a big plus. On the screen are drag-and-drop widgets, which makes general navigation very easy. It is also simple to customize the UI and use it as per your liking.

On the whole, the LG GR500 Xenon is well worth it. We at PhoneArea definitely give it the thumbs up. Go for it, guys!

LG’s Black Label Phone, The BL42 Slider, Is Spied

LG is going great guns these days. First it was the BL40 Chocolate which is creating waves in the market much before its release. Now it is the turn of the new LG Black Label cousin, the LG BL42, to surface online.

The LG BL42 is a slider phone that has a crimson slide-out keypad and illuminated navigation buttons. It also comes with a 5MP camera – maybe the same one as that of the Chocolate. This, as you can see in the pic below, does look good enough to fit in nicely into the Chocolate series. We have no idea about the release dates and so on. We will let you know when something comes up on that front.
