Samsung’s most prominent move into solar-power cell phones to date has been Blue Earth, but now, they are planning to ship another handset first: the E1107 Guru. Samsung India will be selling the solar-powered E1107 for Rs 2799, primarily targeting rural areas where the electricity service isn’t too great. Five to ten minutes of talk time can be squeezed out of an hour’s worth of sunlight, maxing out after 40 hours of sunbathing.

Besides the solar-aided power, there is nothing else special about this phone. There is ther usual FM radio, MP3 ringtones, 1.52″ display, dual-band GSM – all you really need here is something that makes calls. This phone is also expected to enter Europe, Asia, and Latin America.

Samsung is touting the Guru as “the world’s first solar phone”, but we all know that ZTE is the premier brand there, with KDDI in the previous spot. Well, that’s what marketing is all about, right, folks?

Pantech’s NS02 CDMA 1X EVDO WIN phone is nothing new. We’ve already reported about this phone a month ago but the companies launched it right now. Anyway, with an attractive clamshell design, the NS02 sports a 2MP camera, 2.7″  wide QVGA LCD screen, 100MB internal memory and microSD support up to 2GB. The Pantech NS02 phone is available in Black, White, and Green color.

Hi again, guys. It looks like this is the era for clamshell phones. The KDDI au has launched yet another interesting mobile phone, the Pantech NS02. This very stylish and corporate-looking flip phone is very compact and elegantly designed. With a matt finish, it is fairly scratch-resistant too. Though not very high-end, this phone is indeed something worth flipping for.

The Pantech NS02 is a basic cell phone that offers users a nice 2.7” QVGA display, 2MP camera and 100MB internal memory with an up to 2GB microSD card slot for expandable memory as well. The NS02 comes in Black, White and Green colors.

Toshiba has now released its very new T001 mobile phone at the KDDI au’s 2009 Spring Party. This wonderful cell phone has a clamshell design and features a 5MP camera with 3.3” VGA OLED display, a 0.5” external display, 100MB internal memory and microSD card slot to support an extra 2GB of memory.

It is also expected that the Organic EL-Equipped Toshiba T001 will come along with support for FM Radio, 1Seg digital TV, Bluetooth, and GPS. Once released, the KDDI au Toshiba T001 will be available in 3 lovely colors, Crystal Pink, Exotic White, and Star Black.
