HTC “Brews” Up An Interesting Feature Phone

We had made a recent post on HTC planning to manufacture a feature phone (or dumbphone, if you like to call it that), which would be lower-end, with a proprietary HTC OS (click here to view original post). The new feature phone, we hear now, will be christened the HTC Brew and will supposedly use TouchFLO 3D and Sense UIs.

As far as we know right now, this phone is due for release for September or October this year. The Taiwanese manufacturer, HTC, has come a long way since they first started making touch phones. Well, we certainly look forward to their very first non-smartphone this time round.

Expansys Confirms Sony Ericsson Rachael

Expansys has now confirmed Sony Ericsson’s move into making Android smartphones. The latest smartphone from SE is code-named Rachael and is branded the X3. The specs, as given by Expansys, include a 4” touchscreen display, 2G and 3G networks, stunning 8MP autofocus camera with LED flash, image stabilization, face detection, smile shutter and VGA video recording, email clients and accounts, WiFi, aGPS and Bluetooth.

Granted that the HTC Hero is absolutely marvellous, but the X3 comes with a 1GHz processor, so we might just be interested in ditching everything else for this one. We’ll give you more information on this one very shortly.

RUMOR: HTC Plans Entry Level Android Device, The HTC Click

HTC, actually known for its super stylish touch smartphones, seems to be working on lower-end phones these days. First, it was the rumor about the company releasing its first dumbphone. Now, the next rumor is that HTC is planning an entry level Android-run smartphone, the HTC Click.

Figuring online are supposedly leaked photos of the device. This little handheld looks similar to the HTC Magic. The speciality of this phone is that it comes with a rather large trackball bang in the middle. No more info yet, but we’ll fill you in once we get more info ourselves.
