AT&T sets pricing for new iPhone 3G

AT&T today unveiled its pricing for Apple iPhone 3G, which will be available in AT&T retail stores in July 11, Friday. For 8 GB’s iPhone you’ll pay $199 and for the 16 GB’s version you’ll spend $299. Of course, there are some requirements for those prices: two-year contracts, you must purchuase the phone before July 11 and activate a new line with AT&T, current AT&T customers who are eligible, at the time of purchase, for an upgrade discount. For others customers the prices are $399 for the 8GB model or $499 for the 16GB one requiring new two-year service agreement. AT&T also released, the current customers may also choose to wait until they become eligible for an upgrade discount. Upgrading customers will pay an $18 upgrade fee and new AT&T customers will pay the standard $36 activation fee.
