Apple iPhone 3G available in shops today
The revolutionary Apple iPhone 3G started shipping in 21 countries – Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK and the US. Together with iPhone 3G, Apple launched the App Store with more than 500 native applications for iPhone 3G to immediately downloading and using. The iPhone’s App Store works over cellular networks and Wi-Fi, so you can have access anywhere. The store includes variety of categories including games, business, news, sports, health, reference and travel.

iPhone 3G is available in the US for a suggested retail price of $199 (US) for the 8GB model and $299 (US) for the 16GB model in both Apple and AT&T’s retail stores and requires a new two-year contract with AT&T for qualifying customers.

The App Store is available via iTunes 7.7 and part of the free iPhone 2.0 software update for all iPhone customers.
