Carbon fiber is a material that possesses immeasurable strength, while also being extremely lightweight. This cleverly engineered material is used in many of the world’s most detailed machines. Vertu, the luxury arm of Nokia, has now come out with a Carbon Fibre Edition of its Ascent Ti.
Vertu has been touting the device as being “repeatedly tested to ensure the optimum amount of fibers and resin and processed together to achieve a flawless uniform look on both the flat and curved parts.” This device will be on sale next month – you can choose from carbon, copper or aluminium grips. Of course, Vertu specifies as usual, that the price will be provided only “on request”, and we sure know what to expect from that, right, guys?

Are you the kinds longing to own a luxury phone? Well, there is the Vertu or the Gresso, both of which are completely out of budget for the common man. Then there is also the Aura, but even that is bound to set back your bank balance considerably. Motorola has had something else up their sleeve for a while now, and that is the Ivory E18, a slider with a small footprint and 3MP camera.
The price of this stainless steel beauty was set around €2000 or about $2800 plus. The company also planned a parallel release of gold and platinum chassis of the phone, which it expected, would help it spin great profits. Sadly, this was not to be. Carriers didn’t show too much of an interest in such an extremely highly-priced, extravagant phone and so, Moto simply scrapped the whole idea of a luxury phone. What a pity, right, folks? We only get to drool over the pic below and no more….

There has been a buzz for quite a while now that HTC is planning a new product soon. Well, with a brand like HTC, rumors fly around like crazy. There is one latest rumor about HTC that the company is preparing its very first dumbphone for release this Fall. According to these online sources, this phone will come with a touchscreen (but of course) and will resemble the HTC Viva smartphone.
Rumors additionally insist that the device will run a custom HTC OS that will be based on HTC’s famous TouchFLO 3D and Sense UIs. This would mean that the rumoured phone would have all the style of its “smarter” counterparts, without the complications of a proper smartphone. Well, we are impatiently awaiting more news on this one. Are you?
