Sony Ericsson Promote Mobile Media With Pocket TV

Sony Ericsson, in their newest endeavor to promote media through its mobile devices, have announce the launch of their new Pocket TV show. The Pocket TV is actually a series of self-commissioned shows that is made available via Sony Ericsson’s WAP site, pockettvshow.mobi. This is also available on YouTube. Sony Ericsson is making this move in order to promote mobile entertainment, in view of its latest multimedia devices such as Satio and Aino.

Each 15-minute show is divided into 90-second segments for download through your mobile phone. Each of these clips can also be viewed and forwarded as standalone attachments as well. The first few shows have featured The Veronicas, Paloma Faith and Marilyn Manson, with many more interested ones promised in the near future.

Of course, it still remains to be seen if users would be willing to use their data allowances to pay up for this service. Besides, would you really wanna check your cellphone when you already have YouTube content for ready access? Send in your comments.

Rhomobile Plans To Give Rhodes Support For The New Apple iPhone 3G S

Rhomobile has recently announced that it will be giving Rhodes support to the Apple iPhone OS 3.0 and the very latest iPhone 3G S. The “write once and run on many” platform lets developers fully ulitize their HTML programming skills to create varied and robust applications for the iPhone 3G S, without having to code again and again.

Rhodes thereby helps reduce costs by up to five times the usual amount, while also saving developers a lot of time, while also making full use of smartphone abilities like GPS, PIM data and camera. The Rhodes’ platform supports iPhone, BlackBerry, Windows Mobile, Android and Symbian OS’ and also lets developers access even when offline or disconnected.

RUMOR: T-Mobile All Set To Reveal Its Second Android Smartphone

If some online sources are to be believed, T-Mobile is planning to reveal its second Android-powered smartphone as early as next week. The device, it is believed, will be known as myTouch 3G and will resemble the HTC Magic quite closely. Some of you may recall that the Magic had been released on Vodafone’s network earlier this year.

T-Mobile has not disclosed many more details as of now. But HTC is going to be conducting an event in London next week, wherein it is expected to release some new handsets. T-Mobile also had indicated that it would be coming out with its second Android-powered smartphone sometime during summertime. Well, this might just be it, folks!

RUMOR: T-Mobile Plans To Launch The Dash 3G Smartphone Next Month

The latest rumor doing its rounds in mobile world is that T-Mobile would be announcing its Dash 3G smartphone as early as July 1 this year. The device is expected to be available by July 15. The T-Mobile Dash 3G is an advanced, faster version of the original T-Mobile Dash, which sports a full QWERTY, non-touchscreen display.

The T-Mobile Dash 3G, it is further rumored, would be powered by Windows Mobile 6.1 and would also include on board a 2 megapixel camera with video capture. The phone, it is said, will support T-Mobile’s high-speed 3G network and also include a built-in GPS receiver. Other specs are supposed to be Bluetooth and the usual microSD card slot.
