The latest rumor in mobile world is that Sprint is at present testing two different Android-run smartphones, which may be launched sometime in the year 2010. If the rumor mill is to be believed, one of these smartphones is the HTC Hero. This is believed to launch in December 2009 itself. Some of you might recall that HTC had announced the Hero earlier during this week, with a custom-built UI that we haven’t seen in any Android-powered handheld as of now.
The other smartphone Sprint is said to be testing is an unnamed Samsung Android device. This particular phone supposedly supports both CDMA and WiMAX networks. This is expected to be released only in 2010. Well, we are already dying to find out more. We are sure you must be too….

Diehard HTC fans in the UK have every reason to grin from ear to ear. They can now pre-order the HTC’s latest offering, the Hero smartphone, at Amazon, for £429 ($708). That can be expected for an unlocked phone, but Orange may be offering the Hero free on contract as well. So maybe you should wait around a while for that one.
The smartphone delivery date is given as July 15, so there isn’t much of a wait for this one.
