VIDEO: Elan Smartphone MicroSD-to-USB Mobidapter

It is amazing the way technology is coming up with so many new ideas, right? Unlike the traditional [insert flash format here]-to-USB adapters, Elan’s latest Mobidapter now provides a direct bridge from your microSD slot to your external USB hard drive. The result? Extremely simple smartphone backups and file transfers, all without the need to employ your PC’s services in the middle.

Nokia’s N86 8MP Passes Through FCC’s Doorway

When Nokia unveiled its N86 back in February, we had no idea whatsoever that a US release was on the cards. But now, it sure looks like a stateside launch is a lot closer, now that the said handset has made its way through the officious doorways of the FCC.

Seen here is a rather unclear photo of the Nokia Nseries phone, which includes an 8 megapixel, OLED-equipped dual-slider, with an American flavor added on. Sorry, though, folks, we have no idea about the dates of availability yet.

RUMOR: New iPhone 2009 Design Found In Latest SDK

Embedded in the newest iPhone 3.0 SDK, some folks in the Mactalk forum has found a “iPhone 2,1″ icon, which represents the product code for the next generation of iPhone for year 2009.

In case this actually turns out to be true, the upcoming Apple iPhone 2009 will end up having a similar design as its current series with minimum changes. While the small icon didn’t reveal much in detail, this is definitely a great find for the new iPhone.
