Running on the Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional OS, Samsung and SK Telecom have started selling their new SCH-M830 PDA phone in Korea. This wonderful device now also comes with WiMax support.
The WiMax will be used with SK Telecom WiBro services, giving the handheld a stable wireless data connection speed of up to 3Mbps. Interestingly, the M830 has similar specs as of the T*Omnia. It comes with a 3.3-inch WVGA full touch screen, 2GB memory, Bluetooth, WiFi, microSD card slot and a 3MP camera.

Addressing a tech conference in New York City, AT&T Mobility CEO Ralph de la Vega said that the company is now considering options to offer a more competitive rate plan for Apple iPhone users.
He said, “Right now we continue to study what is the best thing that is available, not just from an iPhone point of view, but what you can do to stimulate additional demand.” Right now, the minimum monthly fee for the iPhone is about $70, including a voice plan and the $30 unlimited data plan. One option the company is currently considering is a more affordable, lower-cost plan that has a limit on the amount of data that can be consumed. AT&T has not made any final decisions just as yet.

The Samsung i8910 HD is almost undeniably the largest-display S60 device ever produced and one of the most heavily-spec’d smartphones ever made for any platform, featuring a huge 3.7-inch 640 x 360 capacitive AMOLED touchscreen, 8mp camera, an S60-specific implementation of the Samsung TouchWiz with 3D enhancements, and HSUPA.
The bottomline is that if this phone does not get you all excited, S60 definitely is not your thing. Thanks to Orange UK’s retail launch of the device, Brits are getting really lucky anyways. You can now grab this handheld for a very affordable £97.50 (about $151) on a £35 per month plan, which seems like a pittance to pay for one of the real hugely stylish (pun intended!) handsets of 2009.
