Sony Ericsson UK has revealed a new C905 edition, called Sony Ericsson C905 Cyber-shot Plus. The new version will come with a 8GB memory card, as well as new software features like Smile Shutter, threaded SMS, Snapfish and YouTube viewer.
It also gets the BBC iPlayer pre-installed to access BBC’s videos from your C905. The new software features can be added to the current C905 through software updates.

Kyocera had shown off its beautiful “EOS” phone concept at the CTIA Wireless 2009. The unique handset folds up unbelievably into a wallet-like shape, and folds out into two configurations: portrait QWERTY mode (pictured), and full-on widescreen OLED display.

Samsung was showing similar screen-folding folding abilities, but a much less impressive handset, at CES. Things get even wilder with Kyocera envisioning shape memory keys that can morph flat when not in use, and a kinetic charging method based on piezoelectric generators and Mary Poppins.

Kyocera plans on implementing these concept ideas into its “near future” lineup of devices. Well, time will tell how it all turns out.

Verizon Wireless has given initial details on specifications for devices that will utilize its fourth generation or 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) wireless network. These specifications are designed to provide guidelines for access and data transport on LTE devices.
Verizon had announced in February that it would offer commercial LTE services in the U.S. in 2010. Field trials are already being conducted in Minneapolis, Columbus and New Jersey. Those interested can visit https://www22.verizon.com/opendev/ to view the specifications.
