CTIA Wireless 2009 – Mobui’s AppsWeLike Helps iPhone Users Find Relevant Apps

We have access to so many iPhone apps these days that it gets almost impossible to find out about all the relevant stuff in the AppStore. Mobui Corporation has come out with a solution for this. At the CTIA Wireless 2009, they announced the private beta launch of the new AppsWeLike mobile application referral network, which provides iPhone application developers and publishers the opportunity to “insert recommendation lists of mobile applications that they like within the iPhone applications that they build and generate revenue based on a click-per-action model.”

By clicking on the AppsWeLike icon on your iPhone, you could find out about other cool apps. This is beneficial for developers and publishers as well, as they get to earn iTunes affiliate program commissions via the referral program. Focusing initially on the Apple iPhone, Mobui hopes to take its AppsWeLike facility to other platforms as well, in the near future. Visit the AppsWeLike website for more information.

Take A Look At The HTC Snap

Granted that the HTC Snap smartphone does not look too great. But you know what? It comes with a host of functionalities. You may not think much about the HTC’s latest portrait QWERTY handset from the photographs below, but believe us, it does possess more than just average looks.

The Snap uses the Inner Circle feature, which HTC also introduced this week, which helps you add email addresses from your address book or from incoming emails. Also, when Inner Circle is enabled, only emails from those contacts will be visible in the Snap’s unified account-agnostic inbox. This becomes a great idea for shutting out the electronic noise most of us experience in our day-to-day lives, and we’re hoping this little feature finds its way to HTC’s full Windows Mobile lineup in the near future. Keep your eyes and ears open, US folks, coz this will be coming in the guise of the S522 in the next few weeks.
