Microsoft Corporation has laid out extensive plans for Windows Mobile 7. The company plans to release Windows Mobile 7 in the year 2010. Besides, Microsoft also plans to integrate Windows Mobile 7 more tightly with its desktop OS, Windows 7. Both Windows and Windows Mobile will be treated as two parts of one single project and will provide joint features such as browser technology, OS kernel and presentation. This, the company hopes, will increase market share, as the OS is most suited for low-cost smartphones as well.
There were rumors that Microsoft would soon release a branded smartphone, which would be on par with the likes of Apple and RIM. But the company’s spokesperson completely pooh-poohed the idea, stating that Microsoft would now focus only on its licensing model. Stay tuned for more news, folks.

Hi again, guys! This year is bringing in a whole lot of great mobile news for all of us. The latest is that the LG Versa (remember we had brought you a report on that recently?) that surfaced in the online market scene about a fortnight ago, is now available with Verizon. We had brought you a report about this very unique mobile phone, which looks a bit like the HTC Advantage and features a detachable full QWERTY keyboard.
This device, of course, has a 3” OLED touchscreen, 2MP camera, GPS and EV-DO. As if all this was not enough good news, the LG Versa will also be available with the nation’s most reliable voice and data network, starting today. Can you believe that? The LG Versa will also be hailed as an MVP or the Most Versatile Phone. This phone offers users productivity tools such as Visual Voice Mail and the VZ NavigatorSM at a very nominal cost. Additionally, this device is compatible with Mobile Broadband Connect, so it allows customers to establish a broadband connection within Verizon Wireless’ Mobile Broadband coverage area as well.
You guys out there looking for both style and functionality – do give this babe more than just a look!
