All good things, they say, have to come to an end. That is true with Nokia’s Mosh, which is coming to an end soon. Mosh, short for Mobile Sharing, was a service meant to be accessed from a mobile phone and served as a community site wherein users could post their content for others to download for free.
To date, the site has seen more than 137 million downloads in less than two years. Nokia is yet to provide the exact date of closure, but it is expected to happen somewhere in the near future.
A lot of us have adored Sony Ericsson gadgets, especially mobile phones. There is, however, some bad news on the horizon. According to a German news source, Ericsson may well be looking to end its hitherto very fruitful partnership with Sony. The company has already approached Sony in this respect, expressing the desire to end its participation in the Sony Ericsson joint venture.
Sony has indicated its interest in acquiring Ericsson’s 50% stake in the joint venture, though it does not currently have the financial resources to do so with immediate effect. There is nothing official that has been declared about this issue yet. Both companies are still exploring their options right now.
Sprint yesterday announced the availability of a bright yellow version of the Motorola i580, a rugged push-to-talk mobile phone that has been typical of Sprint Nextel’s network. the Motorola i580 includes a 262k color display, built-in GPS system that works with the pre-loaded TeleNav navigation software, 1.3MP camera with video recording. This cellphone meets MIL-SPEC 810F standards and can stand pressure, temperature, dust, vibration, shocks and solar radiation as well.
