This post will give you folks an exact idea of just how powerful today’s mobile phones really are. We hear and see a lot of changes in the mobile market each and every day. This time round, though, we are ourselves shell shocked. The latest is that the Apple iPhone is being employed as a surrogate computer for the Apple computer OS, better known as System 7 or Mac OS 7. A development team that calls itself that MacOS iPhone Project, has now made the iPhone run the Mac OS 7 run within itself.
This project has been underway for quite some time now. The development team had gone through some trouble trying to get System 7’s mouse-cursor compatible with iPhone’s touchscreen. Now, it has been successful in bringing the full Mac OS 7 functionality to the handheld, including many interesting applications such as – would you believe it – MacPaint. Once the entire procedure and the required tweaking has been done, this will be opened out to the public as well.
T-Mobile, the 4th ranking carrier in the United States, has now opened up the $49.99 Unlimited Loyalty Plan to all its old customers, who have subscribed to its services for a minimum period of 22 months. T-Mobile had initially offered this scheme as a trial in the San Francisco area. In addition to this, T-Mobile is also offering its old customers unlimited voice at a discounted price and the option of additional lines to the Unlimited Loyalty Plan, at an extra $39.99 per line. This implies that two customers would enjoy unlimited voice for only $89.98 and three could get unlimited calling for just $129.97.
T-Mobile is going one step further yet and has created a nice incentive program to rope in non-customers as additional lines on the above-mentioned plans. T-Mobile customers stand to receive a $135 credit every time they refer someone to the plan. Visit the www.My.T-Mobile.com website for more details.
