Introducing Our New Blog Network, Blogatize.net!

Hi guys! Here is our first non-mobile phone post at PhoneArea. We would like to let you know about our very latest blog network, Blogatize.net. We are just kicking off with this additional service on April 1, 2009 and we hope to take this network to great heights in the next few months.

Blogging is the ‘in’ thing on the Internet today. There are tons of bloggers on the Internet today. While some maintain blogs merely to jot down their everyday thoughts or activities, there are plenty of others who actually make a decent sum off these Weblogs. In fact, blogging has virtually become a movement in the present day. This popularity has given rise to a phenomenon called the ‘Blog Network’. Our blog network, Blogatize.net, has been established with a view to bring together bloggers the world over and give them a platform to help them express themselves as part of a single unit, integrating them under a single banner.

Right now, our blog network, Blogatize, comprises 15 categories including Blogging, Business, Entertainment, Gadgets, Health & Fitness and many more. Feel free to browse through Blogatize and learn more about our network. Do you think we would be able to make a successful blogger out of you? Send us an application today!

P.S. For WordPress users we have created nine modern themes which are completely free. You may browse and download them here.

Skype For iPhone Now Functional In The US

The latest news is the Skype for iPhone is now available in the US iTunes stores, completely free of charge. There are some minor glitches here, though. It looks like dialing over 3G is only working for those with OS 3.0 beta, but unfortunately all of us in that situation are now suffering from frequent crashes and loss of audio.

Things seem to be better for those running the latest non-beta firmware, but the calls only work over WiFi. That said, when using the app as intended, the audio quality was surprisingly good, far better than any third party apps we have used so far. Visit the Apple App Store and get your Skype for iPhone now.

Microsoft Reveals Designer WinMo 6.5 Themes And More

Microsoft had announced the launch of Windows Mobile 6.5 at the MWC in February this year. Now details about this have started petering in. Now, Microsoft has partnered with Design Museum London and the Council of Fashion Designers of America to offer designer themes for 6.5-based devices, such as colors, wallpaper, and the like. Take a look at the first designs coming from Isaac Mizrahi and you will be truly stunned. The company will also be coming out with a Theme Generator later in 2009 that will enable users to customize colors of UI elements on their device, pair it up with wallpaper culled from their own photo collection, and send the batch straight to their phone.

This is not all. Microsoft has also announced its full support for the Windows Marketplace at CTIA Wireless 2009 this week, including EA Mobile, Facebook, Gameloft, MySpace, Namco, Pandora, and Sling Media. Microsoft is also tweaking some policies, whereby developers will be able to issue unlimited updates to their apps free of charge, and users will have up to 24 hours to “return” apps they don’t like.
